OBITUARY.
HON. N. FITZGERALD. MELBOURNE, August 18. l"Jie death of Mr Nicholas Fitzgerald a member of the Legislative Council, is announced. CAPTAIN COLQUHOUN SYDNEY, August 18. Captain Colquhoun, commander of the Queensland gunboat Gayndah, died suddenly from heart failure after the vessel had arrived here to participate in the welcome to the American fleet. Captain Colquhoun was well known in Australian naval circles MR W. P. CRICK. SYDNEY, August 23. Mr W. P. Crick, ex-Minister of Lands, died suddenly to-day of hemorrhage. He attended the races yesterday Mr Crick was Secretary for Lands in the Now South Wales Cabinet for a period, but retired in 1904. He aleo held the office p.f Postmaster-general.
