Thorns and Splinters.
When a splinter has gone very deep into \ ] the flesh, try the extraction "by.^eteami ' method. Heat a wide-mouthed" bottle, an^d! make it two-thirds full witit very hbti water, aaid place under the injured spot. - The* suction draws the flesh down whe» a. little pressure is \teed, and the steam iiQ a few moments removes both* splinter and' inflammation. This method is particularly, - good when the splinter has been in fofl some time.
