WELLINGTON, August 23. I The representative match Wellington B 1 %'. Horowhenua was played on Saturday. ; and was won by Wellington by 31 points to ' ' nil. The game was very one-sided. ' NORTH TUAPEKA v. SOUTH TUAPEKA. \ j ' The f\r«t match between the above foot- ' ball districts took place in Lawrence on ' Monday afternoon, and a large crowd of < spectators was present. North Tuapeka, losing the toss, played with the sun in their eves in the first spell. South scored 6 points in the first ppell. Mundell scoring | 1 a try and de Lautour kicking a penalty j goal. In the second spell Kirkwocd scored , a try for the North, and also kicked a j penalty goal, the game thus ending in a • draw— 6 points each. For the North, Orr, ! Marshall. Kirkwood (backs), and Thorns, i Whelan (2). and Perrow (forwards) played ' well. For the South, de Lautour, Russell, , Mundel (backs), and Tvler, Lemon, M'Lean . (2), Arthur, and Christie (forwards) were prominent. SATURDAY'S MATCHES. On Saturday a match was played at Oamaru between the Ofcago High School Junior team and the Waitaki High School Third Fifteen. The match was won by the Dunedin boys by 11 points to 3. For the winners, tries were scored by Collie (2) and Pinel, whilst Mackay converted one of the tries. Knights was successful in I scoring for Waitaki. I
