From a good start Mastery and Wailaki soon showed in front, and all the Xences. were successfully- negotiated the first ' time round, but at the back of the course the last time round Sela.tim oame down. A good race • down the afraigibt resulted in Slaney beating Hector by a, length, Fireaway, two 'lengths away, third.
