A CHINESE QUARREL.
VERDICT OF MANSLAUGHTER-. AUCKLAND, August 22. The coroner's inquest on the body of Fon" Mong Chee, who died from -around* , inflicted in a fight with a knife and a, gun, resulted in a verdict that -death was auieect by a gunshot wound feloniously ' caused by Louie Shue Hock. The Coroner- • said that the verdict amounted to one of • mansLi lighter. A large bone, supposed to be the thigh* hon© of a moa, was brought up by th« dredge Manchester while working near the head of No. 5 wharf at Lyttelton on Thurs* day. It is about 2ft 6in in length, and! has been broken, the portion next tho lower joint having been snapped off.
