The final round of th.c St. Olair Club's championship was played on Saturday afternoon, when, as was expected, J. F. - Forbes easily prevailed. The new _ champion is comparatively a new arrival in New Zealand,, having come from -South Africa, where he played a good deal of golf, and . -finished third ; in the Championship of fiouih Africa just prior -to leaving for New Zealand.
