MATCHES IN WELLINGTON. WELLINGTON, August 16.
Two or three thousand people yesterday witnessed the annual football matches between St. Patrick's and Wellington Colleges, and between Victoria and Canterbury Colleges. The weather was fine, and some good play was shown all round. St. Patrick's College beat Wellington College by 9 points to 6, and the match between Canterbury and Victoria Colleges ended in ' a win for the former by 16 pointe to 9.
