MADAGASCAR COWS. These cows are not usually allowed to leave the island. They aie> the first cows that have been on the maiket for 16 years, and are not intended for supplying milk, but for breeding purposes. For treking they are invaluable, as their hump fits the yoke of the *pan. £50 offered for each was not accepted.
