The ordinal*? monthly meeting of (he ©tago School Commissioners, held yesterJday, was attended by Messrs William Dallas (chairman), E. H. Wilmot, Donald Borrie, and Thomas Mac Gibbon.

It was also decided to obtain an estimate for the cost of dredging the Waikaia River between the farms of Messrs ' Cooper and Miller. D. L. Poppelwell wrote applying for consent to the transfer of lease of section 3 of 243. Hokonui district, from Donald Ross , to Alex. Anderson. — Agreed to on the usual conditions. The ranger's diary was received. A letter was received from the secretary j of the Muddy Terrace Sluicing Company j asking for permission to take a pipe 'me through the quarry reserve at Wendon. — It was decided that the applicant be asked to supply a sketch showing the route of the pipe, line through the commissioners' land. R. Johnstone wrote stating that the recent flood had done some damage to his leasehold sections 3 and 4. block I, Awamoko.—Ranger to be instructed to visit and report.
