ANNUAL MEETING

WELLINGTON, August 13. The annual meeting of the Wellington Meat Export Company -was held to-day. The chairman (Mr W. G. Foster) stated' that during the year equivalent to 645,899 sheep were handled, an increase of 15,203 on the previous year. Of the 545,899 sheep put through 127,090 had been, frozen by the owners, who in so doing had in most cases had the specific desire of supporting the company, which was originally purely a farmers' company, an<? still hacf a wide and influential connection in the country.
