ANNUAL MEETINGS.

UNION~~CLUB. The thirty-seventh annual meeting of the Union Football Club was held in the Caledonia Hotel. There was an attendance of about 70, and Mr John Hope (president of the club) occupied the chair. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows: —President, Mr J. Hope (re-elected); vice-presidents, Mr J. H. Chapman and Dr F. S. Batchelor (both re-elected); hon. secretary, Mr J. Mackenzie (re-elected); hon. treasurer, Mr W. Munro; Ganeral Committee —Messrs Manley, Don, Craig, H. Harris, Corbett, and Stewart; hon. tieasurers, Messrs H. H. S. White and W. Beadle; delegate to meeting of Accident Insurance Fund, Mr F. Daubney; delegates to Rugby UnionMessrs H. H. S. White, C. W. Harris, and H. Harris; delegate to Athletic Protection Society, Mr J. Mackenzie; temporary Selection Committee —Messrs H. Harri6, Corbett, and D. M. Munro. On the motion of the President, seconded by Mr H. H. S. White, it was unanimomlv resolved to eleot Messrs H. Harris and D. M. Munro as life members of the club.--Messrs Harris and Munro replied, thanking the club for thi3 honour conferred upon them. The caps donated by the president for the two nriost deserving- players in the First Fifteen were awarded to A. M. Don (back) and R. Dry (forward).—The President handed a cap to Mr Don amid applause Mr Dry was not present. It was resolvei that the official openingof tha club take place in the first week in .April. Fifteen new members were elected. KAIKORAI CLUB. The twenty-fourth annual meeting of members of the Kaikorai Football Club was held on Friday, Mr L. Kemnitz, vicepresident, in the absence of the president (Mr R. Chisholm, who is out of town, presided. The election of officers, committees, delegates, etc., was then proceeded with, and resulted as folio W6 : —President, Mr R. Chieholm (re-elected); vice-presidents (increased from seven to ten) — Hon. J. A. Millar, M.P., Messrs L. Kemnitz, R. Brown, A. Ahlfeld, A. F. Anderson, J. Paterson, A. P. Gawne, J. G. Lovett, M. Coughlan, and R. Mackenzie; seoretary, Mr J. Torrance was renominated for this position, but asked to be relieved of office, and consented to act until a successor was appointed at the first meeting of the General Committee j General Committee —Mesara R. Johnston, A. M'Donald, F. Cubitt, E. O. Omand, G. Armit, R. Adamson, and J. Coulter; Temporary Match Committee — Messrs E. A. Hamel, H. Wilkinson, F. Cubitt, R. Johnston, and A. M'Donald; practice captain, F. Cubitt; delegates to O.R.F.U.—Messrs W. Sinclair, E. A. Hamel, and W. A. Wilkinson; delegate to A.A.P.S., Mr W. Wileonj auditor, Mr E. O. Omand; insurance secretary, Mr W. Wilson. Caps were presented to W. Wilson, J. Duff, J. Davideon. V. Freeman, A. Jenkins, W. Waby. H. Bevan, C. Keenan, R. M'Leod, — Bergamini, and P. Beasley for their performances J«.sfc season. —ln this connection Mr W. Sinclair suggested that it be a recotpmendation to the incoming committee to make it a hard and fast rule that every member selected to play for a team be compelled to play for the team he is picked for. Nineteen new members were proposed and elected. The club resolved to open the season on the following day (to-day) by a practice match. The Chairman, in closing the meeting, suggested that pome recognition should be made of the valuable services rendered to the club by Mr J. Torrance during five years as secretary, arid Mr Torrance took occasion to tbank members of the ekib for the handsome present made to him on the occasion- of his marriage. TAIERI ROVERS CLU3 The annual meeting of the Taiei i Rovers Football Club was held on Friday, and was attended by about 60 members. The chair was occupied by Mr J. Dryden (president).

I The secretary said he and Mr Brook , had waited on the West Taieri Club with , a view to amalgamation, but it seemed to be a hopeless proposal. There seemed I to be an opinion that forces might be 1 joined next season. Mr D. Christie offered to present a cap to the member who played the game in the most gentlemanly manner. The offer was accepted with applause. Mr J. Thomson moved that a cap be given for the. b,eat. forward or best back in second and third grades, the same to be picked -by the Selection Committee. — Seconded by Mr Brook and carried. On the motion of Mr' R. Turnbull, seconded by Mr D. Cameron, it was agreed that the subscription or members be 5s for the first 20, and 2e, 6d for the remaining members. • ■ The appointment of coach was left in the hands of 'he Managing Committee. Mr J. M'Fadden was appointed practice captain. The opening of ths season was fixed for the 14th inst.
