The adjourned meeting of ihe Peninsula Road Board, held on the 7th lnbt., was attended by Messrs 2i'Curdy (chairman), Garr, Brunton, Black, Reddell, and Weir. Mr Fairbairn wrote drawing the attention of the board to the bad state of the road at the formation on the main road. The clerk was instructed to wait upon the contiactor with reference to this matter. It was decided to invite tenders for 100 yaxds of meta-1 for Beattie's road. Mr Weir was axxthorised to have a culvert repaired) at Sandy Mount, also to have the roads put in a. good state of repair. The Anderson's Bay Land Co. wrote asking the board's consent to the closing of several roads in Tainui.—Agreed "to. The dog tax was fixed at 2* 6d each dog. Mr Sutherland was granted permission to remove soil. The Otago District Hospital Board wrote asking the board to report on any cases of infectious diseases.—The bcaid agreed to tlie wrote re ditch at Taiimi. The clerk -to inform the Bay Town Board that the nuisance is caused by -the water coMeeting from th* Bay Town district, and to ask them to have the nuisance abated. The Bay Town clerk wrote enclosing plan, and requesting the board's permission to erect voles to convey electric power to brick works and the quarry.—The request was granted. Accounts for £47 4s 3d were passed for payment. .
