__^ UNPLEASANT INCIDENT SETTLED. HONGKONG, Marcli 10. A monster meeting held at Canton, relenting the release of the Tatsu Maru, resolved to boycott Japanese manufacturers. PEKIN, March 14. The Chamber of Commerce at Newchang has protested against Japan's attitude in connection wilh the Fagumen railway, as violating the Portsmouth Treaty and injuring foreign trade interests. It further declares that the open-door policy in Manchuria has been in no wise observed. March 16. China will apologise for hauling down the flag of the Tatsu Maru, and will salute the flag. She will also restore the vessel, pay demurrage, and purcha&e the cargo of arms ammunition. Japan agrees to prohibit the importation of arms into China by Japanese.
