PRINCESS THEATRE

The new programme submitted by Fullers' Vaudeville Company oji Saturday night was witnessed by the usual big audience, who filled the theatre in all its departments. It is a noticeable fact that the transfer of the Messrs Fullers' scene of operations to the commodious and comfortable High street theatre has brought with it a commensurate advance in the standard of the entertainment provided. With the performances' of the past month or so there has been certainly nothing to cavil at, and "thoroughly pleased audiences have been the order. The earnest endeavour to present the best vaudeville amusement available is meeting with its due appreciation. A new arrival on Saturday night was Mr Harry Edwards, a vocalist with a good tenor voice, whose special numbers were "Love me an 4, tho world is mine" and " While the moon and the star* make love," in both of which his efforts met with deserved apprecia-

tion. 'Davy's marionettes were "again a show in themselves, and in a number of specialties provided unlimited langhter and brought forth the heartiest app'euse of those present. Pastor and Merle were responsible for some clever and original work' in the way of acrobatic feats and eccentricities ; and Miss Brightie Smith, a young lady who imparts plenty of dash and charm into her work, contributed several serio-comic numbers in a praiseworthy manner, and v by special request repeated her swing song, in which she scored so well ' in the previous programme. The popular comedian, Denis Carney, the Marlowe Sisters, Miss Lavinia Tyson, and James Opie were all seen or heard in something' new and entertaining. Miss Gertie Everett* character comedienne, specialised with success in coster songs; while Lesseo and Rexo gave a dean and decidedly clever exposition of juggling, in which the comedy element was introduced with much success. The bioscopic pictures are, as usual, a feature of the show, and each week sees -the introduction of something new and interesting in this line of the business. The present combination of artists, c, strong one in all respects, will appear in the same bill again this evening and for the remainder of the week.
