WELLINGTON, January 31. The Athenic, which sailed for London on Thursday evening, took the following , butter and cheese : — Boxes Cases \ Butter. Cheese. Auckland 11,324 ... 643 New Ph mouth . . 11.141 2.323 Patea ' ' . . . 4.052 6.105 , Wellington 8,3€5 2.378 , Lyttelton 540 309 Dunedin 2,017 . 975 i Other porte — 3.598 Total 37,459 ... 16,331 These figures disclose a considerable fall-ing-off in the totals shipped by the last fortnightly steamers— the decrease amount- , ing to 6793 boxes of butter and 2391 cases " of cheese. This is an indication of the falling-off in the milk supply. The figures for the corresponding shipment of last sea- j son' were: — 37,671 boxes of butter and 8591 < cases of cheese. This shows a slight fall- < ing-eff on Thursday's shipment of butter, ■ but nearly 100 per cent, increase in cheeee. i
