When a certain distinguished' America^ ■ congressman was stumping Kentucky foif re-election, at one of hie mass-meetings an old hunter of wide political influence said:j " Well, Harry, I've always heen for you. hufc because of that vote" (which he named) " I'm goin' agin' you."
"Let me see your rifle," said the candi* date. It was handed up to him. "Is she a good rifle?" " Yes." "Did she ever miss %eT" "Well, yes, once." "Why didn't you throw her away?" The old hunter thought a moment, am? . then said : "^ "Harry, I'll try you agin." And Harry., was duly elected.
