It - ! was hard to" know" that -come commercial travellers, possessing business acumen, could resist the inestimable benefits accruing from, membership.- The committee wa» always prepared to. entertain - candidates, I but it also wished that every precaution 1 ' might be exercised to -prevent fch« incoming , of members who might bring discredit on [ the association. •He was sure that the fact--.{'of being' a- member of the association was . some evidence of business ability and ' integr:ty. As 1 retiring president he wished to thank the committee for its hearty cooperation- The committee had been 4rawn from ranks representing employers, , commercial travellers, and warehousemen, and | all had' worked smoothly together, their meetings being* characterised by order and unanimity. - Everything pointed to progress, and he congratulated members on the ■ proud position of the association. — (ApplauseJ , t . • , Mr H. F. Moss seconded the motion, and congratulated -members on the work' and success- of* the past year.
