December 28. — The various echools in an 3 around Waimate have been celebrating the annual, break-up in a "variety of ways. The ceremony in connection with the local district High. School took place in the 033- " fellows' Hall, Mr Coltman, chairman of the School Committee presiding. Mrs Manchea- ~ t«r, the wife of the Mayor, presented the prizes, and the Rev. G. Barclay, chairman of the: High School Board, and Rev. M'Kenzie Gibson addressed the gatherVng.
