CONCLUDING DAY. MRS BUTTERWORTH WINS THE CORONATION MEDAL.

The New Year tournament, under the aus-> pices of the Otago Golf Club, wag brctagh.-fl to a close on the 6th on the Balmacewen! Links, when splendid weather again prat vailed. winning score of Mrs Butrtarworth of 100 großß and 85 net being especially creditable. In ' the Foursomes, however, played in the afternoon, only a fair performance was given, as manifested by the fact that the winners i were 3 down on a -Bogey score of 94. ) During the forenoon. Miss Scott and Miss < Wilson played off for second place in the X/adies' Championship of Otago, Miss Scott •irinning with a score of 102, as against her opponent's 111, and therefore taking the position of nmner-up to Miss K. Rattray, who won the Championship. The First M<etlal Competition went to Miss Wilson (of Christchurch) . and the Second Medal Competition to Miss M'Lean (of Napier). The proceedings were of an. enthusiastic end hearty character, and at the. close the ladies accorded, with musical honours, a cordial vote of thank 3to the Otago Golf Club and the visitors.
