MR J. L. KELLY'S VIEWS. AUCKLAND. November 25. Mr J. L. Kelly, appointed by the Government to visit England to investigate the proepects of the extension of trade-befivfww the Dominion and the West ot^ngHMftd. arrived at Att£kland by the Cornwall. Concerning" the improvement in trade facililies,' Mr Kelly thinks there should be ft . taster and more frequent service from New Zealand, providing two boats per month, anrl, if possible, three during the dairy season. H© also advocates the reorganisation of the Produce Oommisskmer'e Department and the appointment of commercial agents in different distributing, centres. ' His general impression is that it would be to the mutual advantage to producer and consumer if a large part of the trade now going to London were diverted to tha west coast ports.
