t LONDON, July 23. ; The quantity of wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is 2,650,000 bushels, and for the Continent 1,375,000 bushels. The Atlantic shipments were 179,000 bushels. Bank shares: Uixihanged. July 24. At the tallow auctions 1809 casks were offered, and 1239 sold Prices were unchanged, with an occasional 3d advance. The American visible supply of wheat is 62,113,000 bushels. July 26. The director of the Government farms in Canada estimates the wheat yield in Manitoba and the North- West to be from two-thirds to three-fourths of a full crop. The warm weather has quietened the wheat markets and has slightly lowered prices, although it is certain that the harvest will be late in Britain, France, And Germany, and that the crops in all the European countries except Russia will ■be unequal to those of 1906. Car.go.es were quiet till to-day, when four were disposed of at from 34s to 34s 6d. The flour market is dull, and buyers axe inactive, anticipating lower prices. Australian June-July shipment is offering at Glasgow at 26s *9d. The«buttei' market is slow. Colonial is unchanged ; Danish, Ills to 112s. The cheese market is firm. New Zealand, 60s to 61s; new Canadian, 56s to 58s. Sugar : German, 9s 9d ; first marks, 11s 4d. The Bradford wool market is dull. Common sixties, 27d ; super., 28d. July 28. Copra: A better demand. South Sea, £22. New Zealand hemp : Steady ; more business. July and August shipment, £34 17s 6d. Linseed oil, £25 10s., Babbits: Fair demand. Prices for the new season are hardening; 12s 6d is asked for best large ex ship. Frozen meat: Mutton quotations are unchanged. Lamb — Canterbury heavy, 5Jd; other sorts, unchanged.
