The committee decided to give effect to the recommendations of the building committee and to proceed forthwith with the alterations as submitted. A large amount of detailed correspondence was considered and dealt with. With a view to obtaining suitable judges for the horse parade, which is to be held about the end of September, it was moved by Mr J. W. Blair, seconded by Mr Jas. A. With a view to revising the schedule of prizes for the next summer show, the chairmen of the sheep, cattle, and horse subcommittees submitted the proposed alterations, and with a view to- popularising the classes they recommended additions in prize ' money in several classes. After careful consideration by the general committee the recommendations of the subcommittees were approved.
