WAIRARAPA POULTRY SHOW.
MASTERTON, July 26. The Wairarapa poultry, canary, and) pigeon show opened to-day. There were good all round exhibits. In 'Langshans. H Madeley (Masterton) was tho principal prize-taker. In FlyiuoCth Bocks W. J. Spackman and Mrs W. Wakely took tha prizes. In Orpingtons, T. H. Rutherfurd, A. Snodgrass, J. H. Payton, A. MaxwelJ L T. Moor, and E. Adams (Dannevirke) took prizes. In Wyandottes, T. R. Boyes (Karori), W. A. Boyes (Ekctahuna), W. Cruickshank (Ekctahuiia), J. H. Payton
{Maeterton), and Mm XL Boss (Maeterton) Secured the majority of the first prizes. In Minorcn, W. Cochrane, T. J. Rayner, and A. Hendry took first prizes. In Leghorns, J. J. Thomasen (Eketahuna), T, W. Barnes (Masterton), C. B. .Eagle (Carterton) wera the principal prise-takers. In Ajadalusians, R. Bailey (Karori) won the North laland championship, T. J. France (Lower Hutt) took two first prizes, and S. P. Brown (Petone) one- first. In Houdans, M. Wilton (Maeterton) won all the first prizes. In Oampinee and Pavonrelles, F. J. - P. Obbb (Masterton) took two firsts. In the game class, R. Graham secured all the " prizes except one. In Hamburg*, W. Drammond, &. E. Fearn (Karori), Mrs T. ■Beggar (Pabiatua), B. Rayner, and L. H. Spackman were the prize-takers. In Bantams, R. H. Spackman took all the first prises. E. Playle (Dalefield) won all the prizes for turkeys and geese. In Aylesbury ducks C. F. Hives, H. J. E. Meyriok, and G Watson were the principal prize-takers. In pigeons, D. Murphy, R. E. Crawley, H. Madeley, and J. W. Holland (Wellington) were ther^ principal.: prize-takers. The North Island, championship was- won by D. Murphy (Wellington) with Oriental Frill. In canaries, N. Lute (Dannevirfce), BL L. Piokett (Maeterton), and Miss B. Cross (Masterton) were the prize-takers.
