MUTUAL HELP TERMIATING BUILDING SOCIETY.
The eleventh annual report to be submitted to members .states that the number of 6hares held is 1117, the number of shareholders being 433. Members' numbering 185 secured loans amounting to £50,550. Of this sum, £24,000 was lent on the 2 per cent, premium loan. p,n'i i + "im«d £497 8s ii- " " stands at £2498 12s lid— an increase of £535 13s 10c. w .. . feecretary, resigned, and his pl^ce was taken by Mr H. F. M. Mercer.
London consumes 200,000 gallons of milk daily, the product of 150,000 cows. It takes 15,000 men to milk the cows and 40,000 milkmen to distribute tbe milk.
