—At tho Hastings poultry show, which commenced on Friday, -with 950 entries, Mr Holland (Bunnythorpe) yon the North Island cUampinnship in whito Leghorns with a cockerel. Mr Sowman (Blenheim) won the cup for most, points in black Orpingtons with young birds. HASTINGS, August 4.
The following are the cup winners at the poultry show: — White Leghorns, Holland (Bunnythorpe) ; Andalu3ians, Franco I Wellington) ; Minorcas, Maiittan (Palmorston North) ; black Orpingtons, feowman (Blenheim) ; Langshans, HoHand : buff Orpingtons, Leighton (Wellinirton) ; buff Orpington cockerel, Leighton (Wellington) ; working homer. Alexander (Hastings) ; fancy pigeon, Goodacro (New Plymouth) ; game
bantam champion. A. E. Thompson (Auckland). AUCKLAND, August *. At the Auckland Kennel Chib's annual show Mt E. Webster's (Dunedin) wirehaired fox-terrier Chingford Nipper secured first prize, and also the New Zealand Terrier Club's challenge cup. Mr J. WThomson's "Wakari Pride secured a special for the best smooth-haired fox-terrier bitch in the show, and also three first prizes. The same owner secured a special for the best smooth-haired terrier dog with (Mendon Major. Mr Jonson's (Naoieri deerhound Frouch Millie was awarded a first and -a special prize. He also scoured a eecond prize in this class with Whaeroa Victor. Mr A. H. Smith's (Napier) Taipo scoured first place amongst the field spaniels.
