WANGANUI v. WAIRARAPA
The Wairarapa v. Wanganui representative football match was piayod yesterday afternoon in a gale of wind. The game was evenly contested, Wanganui winning by 12 points to 9. The local men played with the wind behind them in the first spell, during which they scored a try, and Wairarapa scored two tries. Wanganui played better in the second 'spell, and scored two tries, one of which was converted. Wairarapa scored another try. Mr Powdrell, of Hawera, was referee.
