WELLINGTON, July 3. The approximate- number of sheep in th© colony on the 30th April last was 20.030,886^ an increase of 900,011, made ua «$ tollooii— Xotth Island. 5*8.011;
South Island, 352.000. The sheep were distributed as follows: — Auckland 616, *47, a decrease of 2896; Napier, 4,810,266, an increase of 226,101 ; Wellington and West Coast, 4,509,909, an increase of 324,806; Marlborough and Nelson, 1,048,243, an increase of 93,994 ; Canterbury and Kaikoura, 5.257,160, an increase- of 16,907; Otago, 3,788,867, an increase of 242,099.
