Only a Woman.
Only a woman ! Think of it quietly for a minute or two. Is a woman so> bad a thing after all? Is it so worthiess to be "only a woman"? A woman; is surely more graceful than a man. with' daintier ways and finer belongings , she is a creature who, with tact, makes pleasant chatter and merry laughter; she is something that men couldn't do without if they wanted to. She is the one who is closest to a' man in his sorrow or in his joy, and when a man is overwhelmingly happy) because he has succeeded in something, he wants a woman to congratulate li^in.
He doesn't care whether that woman knows anything about mechanics. In fact, he would much rather she didn't.The knowledge of Greek doesn't sureljg teach one how to make one's home bright, and those in it happy. Greek, Latin, and mechanics all may be good to know, but there are some things surely which? are so much better.
To know how to forgive, to forget, and to remember are greater a thousand times. To know how to appreciate ai kindness, to blot out a slight, and to be gracious and loving are greater a^ milioa times. To be only a woman, with alt that that means, is greatest of all.
