There's a people born to an Empire vast Whose duty to the Kirg' Is ne'er denied, foremost and last; • Prom land and sea they bring Their infant' lives — an offering mute To the 'lifting sergeant there. And he sets them down, a million foot, From the realm of Everywhere.
