ALHAUBRA THEATRE
Mr Fuller introduced a number of new artists and a complete change of programme at the A.ha'mbra Theatre on Saturday evening. The audience was the usual large one, both circle and downstairs portions of the theatre being lull, and the warm reception accorded the different artists was evidence of the great satisfaction and enjoyment those present derived from the bill submitted them Amongst the new artists appearing was Rexo, an equilibrist and juggler, who performs a number of feats of juggling while balanced on a globe. His juggling is clever, though not in every sense original, but the fact of his doing what he does while balanced on a globe that has no inclination to remain in the one p'.ace for the shortest period makes his performance very much more meritorious than it would otherwise be. Miss Gertrude Emery, another fresh arrival, is a trapeze artiste who performs evolutions in mid-air with much daring and without any apparent effort. The lady does a few things out of the beaten track, and her wefrk is altogether very neat. Master Chas. Hayes," a further addition to the company, ie a very youthfui contortionist, who twists himself into many inconceivable positions, and generally chows considerable promise. Miss Viola Price, a charming Scottish dansense, made what was evidently a. very welcome reappearance, and, with song and dance, provided a very enjoyable turn . as a conclusion to the opening part of the entertainment. The other artists whose names appeared, on the bill were the Driscoll Brothers (who were funnier and more entertaining than ever), Miss Pearl Lovell and the Golden Duo (very strong favourites), Miss Dolly LeStrange (who sings popular songs with much success). Sam Wiison. Herbert Kelly Lales Logic, Miss Frawley, Ida Brady, and Phyllis Fay. The programme will be repeated this evening, and, with the present strong combination of artists, should draw
ng houses throughout the week
