' Apples. — Cooking — inferior, 2s 6d to 4s ; good, 5s to 7s ; dessert, 5s 6d to 10s. Oranges : Inlands, 2s 6d "to _ 6d: Lemons : Messina halves, Bs. Bananas : Green, 10» 6d ; ripe, 2Jd per lb. Tomatoes: Christchurch, 4Jd to 6Ad; outside, 2*d to 4d. Grapes, 8d to Is 6d. Produce.— Butter: Fresh dairy, 8d to 9d ; aepsuator, 104 to lid. Pigs, 32d; heavyweights, 3d to 3Jd. Honey, 3Jd to 4d per ib. Beeswax, la 3d.
Poultry in good supply Roosters, 2s 6d to Ss 6d'; hens, 2s 3d to 2s 6d; ducks, Qa to 3s 9d; turkeys — gobblers, 7d to 9d per lb; hens, 6d to 6d.
Potatoes: Best whites and Derwents, £11 to £12; inferior, £2 to £9 15s. Onions: Canterbury and Auckland, £6 10s to £7. Cabbages, 2s 6d to 3s per sack; cauliflovreis, 2s 6<3 to 4s 6d; peas, ljd to 2d per lb. Horsehair, Is 4d to Is Gd per lb.
