Notes from cromwell. (From Our Own correspondent. )
GROItWELL, May 12. The weather is fice, with sunny days and irosts at night. The river is falling slowly, and. it will take a few weeks before :t is at a really low level. The two Electric dredges are working, but the high river makes the drift very bad. The Rife and Shine No. 1 dredge is still doing well, and the returns should continue gocd The ground of the No. 2 dredge is improving again.
The Rising Sun dredge is on very poor ground iusfc now.
The Riley's Beach dredge is waiting for some of the material to arrive, and when it comes the dredge will soon ba oble to get starred.
