At 5 a.m. to-day Vancouver advised that there was no outlet to San Francisco, San Jo^e, oj Oak-
land, and that all other Calif ornian poinfe were subject to heavy delay.
! A number of Wellington citizens asked i Mr W. H. P. Barber, M.H.R.. to approach I the Premier with the object of ascertaining the condition of the many New Zealanders who w-ere resid-ent in San Francisco. Air Barber interviewed the Premier on the subject, and Air Seddon informed him. that 1 he had already tried to get into touch with the New Zealand agent in San Francisco", having cabled to Mr Smith yesterday, but had not received any reply.
