College during the second egg-laying competition. The price is Is ljd per dozen for all the year. The ballot, taken of the members of th© N.Z.U.P. Ciub for two representatues on the Management Committee to work with the supervisor, resulted in Uessrs A. B. M-enzies and J. H. Shaw boing elected. Mr Blanch's pen of silver Wyandcttes from New South Wales have arrived for the Lincoln College second competitions Mr J. H. Shaw is importing a number of Howell's "famous silver Wyandotte layers. The Lower Riccarton breeder is having numerous inquiries for his brown Leghorns. The 60 new pens and houses for the forthcoming contest at Lincoln are practically finished, and the young grass in the new runs is looking splendid. In the ballot on Thursday night Mrs Mills drew one of the new pens. The pens occupied by Mrs Mills's birds and Mr A. Y. Anderson's brown T<3a;horns in the present contest are to be reserved for spare pullets in the forthcoming one.
