CHRISTCHURCH GRAIN AND PRODUCE REPORT.

The giain and produce market is .practically stagnant at present. There is not much offering, and farmers are asking more than the merchants are prepared to pay. Consequently little or no business is being done. The only sales reported are 800 bushels of Tuscan, 600 bushels of pearl, and 900 bushels of Hunters, at 2s lOd all round.

Prices have not changed since- last week's report, and are as follows, free of commission, except where otherwise specified.

Old wheat (nominal): Mixed lines 2s lid to 3s, prime 3s Id to 3s 3d ; new wheat, in good condition, 2s lid to 3s, at country stations.

Old oats (nominal) : Milling quality ls 8d to ls 9d, Gartons ls 8d to ls Shd, dims Is 7d to ls lOd, Danish ls 6d to ls 7d , new oats, Canadians ls Bd, Gartons ls 6^d to ls 7Jd, duns ls 7d to Is Bd, Danish ls old to ls 6d, at country stations.

Cocksfoot : 141b seed, 3Jd to 41 , 121b to 13lb seed, 3Jd to 4d, according to condition; badly discoloured, 3d.

Ryegrass. 2s Gd to 2s 9d, heavy 3s, Italian 2s 6d to 2s 9d. White clover : 6d to Bd. Flour: £8 10s per ton. Bran: £3 ss. Pollard- £5. Oatmeal: £11 10s. Oatsheaf chaff: Prime, 52s 6d to 555. Potatoes : Early rose and kidneys £7, at country stations
