THE TROTTING STUD BOOK.

The New Zealand Trotting- Stud Book la now on sale, and as it supplies a long-felt want it should obtain a large circulation. The second part includes all the colonial-bred mares and their progeny, containing trotting credentials that have been traoed. With the work is also published the «xfceuded pedigrees of such well-known; horses as Blackwood Abdallah, Berlin, Irvington and many other notable stallions, both locally and American bred^ There is also a table of New Zealand records to date and the definition of the American standards. The New Zealand Trotting Stud Book will supply a most valuable means of reference whereby the back lines of brood mares and sires, both colonial-bred and imported, can b© traced to their fountainheads; and as only a limited number of copies of the _Stud_Book will be published it would be advisable for all those desirous of obtaining copies to make early application.
