TARANAKI v. AUCKLAND.
AUCKLAND, September 9. The Association fcotball match Taranaki v. Auckland was played heie to-day, and resulted in a draw, both sides scoring 1 goal. The weather was fine, and the attendance numbered about 500. In the first half Foreyhaw registei*ed a goal for Auckland, and Schoolfield succeeded in accomplishing- the same feat for the visitors. In the second spell play was very interesting, and both sides tried hard to score, buc without success. Throughout the game the local men had a bit the best of the play, and but for the display given by Frost (in goal) for the visitors must have won. Schoolfield, of the Taranaki team, was perhaps the best forward on the field.
