NORTH OTAGO v. SOUTH CANTERBURY.
OAMARU, August 31. ! The match South Canterbury v. North Otago was played to-day in unpleasajit weather, a cold, strong wind blowing from the j south. North Otago won by 22 points to 5. For the winners Ongley (2), Sutherland, Taylor, Breed, and Curran secured tries, j Uttley converting two of these. For the losers, Willoughby scored a try, from which : Houlihan kicked a goal. The losers were not a strong team, and stood no show with the North Otago men.
