NORTH OTAGO.
A five-roomed house situated at Waianakarua, the property of ihe Otago Education Board, was destroyed by fire on Thursday. The fire is supposed to have been caused by an ember being blown on to the hearthrug. There <?as no insurance on contents. The house was valued at £200, and the contents at £65.
