There was a large rurnber of spectators to witness the final for the championship, which was played by Miss Lewis (Auckland), the present champion, and Miss Stevenson (New Plymouth). A splendid game, in which some capital play was shown on both hides, resulted in a victory for Miss Stevenson by one up at the eighteenth hole A driving competition, for which there were 89 entries, was held, Mis-s Campbell (Christcliuroh^ winning with a drive of 145 Miss Gould (North Otago) was second with 144 yards, and Miss Hannay (Wairarapa) third with 142 yards. There were 49 entries! for the approaching and putting competition. In the first round 12' tied for first place. In the second round the number was reduced to six, and in the final Mrs Bidwill (Wairarapa^ proved fictoricus, with Miss Harcourt (Wei lingtoi^ second.
