CLEARING- SALE AT MERRIE CREEK FARM NEAR CLINTON.
Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co. report taving' held, on beLalf of Mr James Motion Hwhose farm they have just sold) a clearing aale of the whole of his sheep, cattle, horses, and fanning implements, etc., on the 29th inst. Mr Motion's arrangements for the sale -were all that cotild be desired, and the weather was most propitious. Everything being for bona. fide sale, there was an excellent attendance of farmers and settlers from the surrounding district, and an excellent sale
f resulted. A start was made with the sheep, I which sold as follows:—Full-mouth ewes at 1 265, and a line of hoggets at 18s 2d. The i horses, which weie all light diatights, met keen competition, and sold at up to X 36. The dairy cattle and implements realised full rates. i [ I |
