Matheson's bouuda v y fer.es on section 2 of 16, block I, Maiicgaiiia district. — Secretary to write to the owner 1 of adjoining sections, explaining position. W. Todd wrote forwarding an offer from Mr C. B. Harris for a lease of allotment 19, of section part 23, block I, InvercargiH Hundred, at £40 per annum on certain conditions. — Application declined. Jessie H. S. Shaw, lessee of section 1, block 15, Maungatua district, applied for a ieductkra of rent. — Declined. Application from J. M. Price, lessee of section 39, Eyre district, for a reduction of rent. — Consideration held over Letter from M. Joycs, lessee of section part 2 of 155. block I, Moeraki district, asking for authority to erect a dwelling at a cost of about £25 — Granted. The Banger reported having completed the inspection of all the reserves north of Hampden. and found them in very good order, with some exceptions, on which goise is br-ing allowed to spread, and he recommended that the tenants receive notice to clear gor^e ar.d trim the hedges.— Seport adopted; lessees to hi notified as suggested. North Harbour and Bhieskin district, for scenic purposes, and asking what value 'the commissioners put upon the section.—Commissioners had no power to sell, but if Government had machinery for acquiring land would accept £20 for section, subject to existing lease. Letter from Michael M'Laughlin, applying for a yearly lease of section 8, block LXX town of Oamaru.— A year's lease to be granted on condition that gorse is cleared and rates and taxes paid. An application was receiver! from John Buttar, lessee of section 25. block IV. "Waikouaiti. for drain tiles to drain between 20 and 30 Granted on usual conditions. a. letter was received from C. Turnbull lessee of section 21, block X, Jacobs Eiver Hundred, in reference to drain tiles.— Agreed to. ( An application was received from Mr E. C. Smith, solicitor, for endorsement of consent to a transfer of lease of section 71 block XVI, town of Gore, from M. A. Henderson to Catherine Hartley. — Granted. The Eanger drew attention to a resolution of Clarendon Drainage Board to raise a loan for the purpose of erecting an embankment at Waipori, alongside of section 2 of 20, block 11, Maungatua district, which he considered would be detrimental to the section in question.— Referred to ra-xiger aad chairman, with power to act. An application was received from Messrs Watson and Haggitt, solicitors, InvercargiH, applying for endorsement of consent to transfer of lease of section 1 of 105, Tarinfatura, from S. Woods and C. F. Coster (executor of the late J. Woods) to W. P. Hishon.— -Granted on usual conditions. Accounts amounting to £68 8s Id were passed for payment.
