LONDON, June 27. For the forthcoming wool^sales 183,000 bales have arrived, whereof 80,000 -were forwarded direct to the manufacturers, leaving 119,000 available. English wool has been steadily advancing. Lincoln hogget is as high as 19d, as a result of a shortage in colonial wools. There have been heavy American purchases, and large purchases for Japanese army clothing. June 28. Wool : At the Antwerp wool sales there was a large attendance, and the bidding was animated. Ordinaries advanced five centimes, prime 10, and seconds 15. There was a good competition for a small quantity of crossbreds. Two thousand foui* hundred bales of La Plata were offered, and 796 sold. Messrs Dalgetv and Co. report having* received a cable from their bead office, dated London, June 27, advising that the wool sales are expected to open with an advance on last sales' closing rates of fully 5 per cent, on medium and coarse crossbred wools.
