CHUTNEYED BEEF OR MUTTON.
It is very difficult to vary the ways of doing up cold meat, but the following will be found most tasty : — Cut any cold beef or mutton into thin slices. Spread both sides with smooth chutney and heat it in a pan. This is an easily-made dish, which occupies very little time in preparation, and is an excellent way of using up cold meats.
