APPLE TURNOVER.
Half a- pound of short pastry, baking apples, sugar, a few cloves. Make the pastry, roll it out into an oval shape. Peel, core, and slice as many baking apples as can be piled on half the paste; add sugar, and three or four cloves. Wet the edges of tb.n pastry, fold it across ther apples, press and twist the edges so that the juice may not escape. Place on a greased flat tin, and bake in a moderate oven. Serve hot with castor stigar dusted over.
