WEST COAST BANDS' CONTEST.

GREYMOUTH, May 24The Greymoutt band contest eonrnetitiong are being- concluded to-nig-ht. Three thousand persons witnessed the march contest in the "Victoria, Park this afternoon, eight bands competing. The Opera House was packed to-night to hear the test piece. The results of the whole of the competitions will not be known till very late tonight. The weather has been fine throughout, and th« contest proved & great success.
