OTAGO FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION.

The usual meeting of the Otago Football Association was hold in its room, Moray place, on Monday ; present — Messrs Emslio(in the chair), Ashton, Young, Stables, Braithwaite, Ussher, Martin, Briekell, Smith, and Irvine. An apology was received from Mr Allen. A letter was received from the North-East Valley School Club protesting, in connection with a match against the Mornington School, on the ground that the latter club played a boy named Kelly, who was said to have left the school. A letter was also received from the Wakari School protesting against the High Street School, on the ground that the latter club played Holderness, who was said to have left the school. — On the motion of Mr Braithwaite, seconded by Mr Ashton, the letters were referred to tho Schools Committee.

Re report from the referee against the captain of the Green Island Third Grade team in their match against Roslyn Third, and held over from last meeting, after evidence had been given by the captain (Mr Anderson), it was decided to suspend him for the rest of the season, such suspension to cease on June 12, provided an apology be sent to the referee, through the 0.F.A., before .that date.

Re the New Zealand team to go to New South Wales, it was stated that the New Zealand Council had decided that the team should assemble in Wellington not later than Friday morning, June 9, and a match would be played there on June 10 against a local challenge team.

The Secretary of the New Zealand Association reported that it had been arranged with the New South Wales Association that the passage money of the New Zealand team would be paid at the Sydney office of the Union Steam Ship Company, which would cable to each centre in New Zealand from which players were leaving the number of fares paid for from that port. The looal secretaries could then draw the tickets from their own port, via Wellington, to Sydney, and return via Wellington, except in the case of the Auckland men, who would return direct from Sydney.

The N.Z.F.A. wrote asking the O.F.A. if it could formulate any scheme re the Brown Shield competition for this year, and make a definite proposal to be laid before the council. — After a good deal of discussion a. scheme was arranged to be submitted to the New Zealand Council.

The City Engineer wroto stating that permission had been given to the association to play on the reserve between Ma-oandrew road and Cargill road on the three grounds nearest Maoandrew road.

It was reported by Mr Smith that the outlines on the Montecillo Ground were too deep, and it was resolved to have same attended to at onoe.

Mr Ashton reported very favourably on the Musselburgh Ground (Culling Park). A sub-committee, consisting of the secretary and Messrs Emslie and Braithwaite, ■was appointed to at once revise the Otago Association rules and have same printed.
