THE ASSOCIATION TEAM FOR NEW SOUTH WALES.

So far the following nominees have advised the local secretary that they will be able to make the trip to New South Wales with the representative Association team if selected: — E. Newman (Roslvn). J. Harrison (Northern). G. Middleman (Kaita-ngata), H. Morrison (Wakari). and W. Allen (Southern). Others nominated were Smallbone, A. Haynes, T. Ashton, Kileour. Riley, S. Brown, W. Morrison. H. Siedehers:, and F. Ussher. Of these Riley and Ussher have stated that they cannot go. The others have not replied to the secretary's letter, though all were asked to do so as soon as possible.

The following are the players in Wellington who have been nominated by the selectors: — Gaol-keeper, M. Fitzsjerald (Diamonds) ; backs — W. Roberts and W. J. Taylor (Diamonds). A. Clapham and B. Clark (Queen's Park). R Duff (Swifts). G. Martin and H. Renai (Rovers) ; forwards — W. Mawson (Queen's Park), J. Reddy and C. Hathaway (Diamonds), Bissett (St. John's).

Nominations from other centres are as follow: — Auckland — Harding (full back), M«ldrum, Yafces (half backs), Porsham (forward) ; Canterbury — Forest, Cornish (backs).

A committee meeting of the Otago Football Association was held on Monday evening: present — Messrs BrickeH, Ussher, Allen, Ashton, Smith, Soundy, Martin, Emslie, Young, and Irvine. Mr Emslie was voted to the chair.

A letter waa received from the Milton Club asking the association to allow its representative. Mr R. H. Stables, a seat at tho meetings. — It was resolved to grant the request. Mr Stables then took his seat at the meeting.

In connection with the appeal by the Northern Third against the Wakari Third, on the ground that the latter club was playing a player of a higher grade, after evidence had been given by both sides and by the referee it was resolved that the protest be upheld, and the match awarded to the Northern.

A letter was received from Mr R. Winton, referee in the match Northern Second v. Wakari Second, reporting having ordered a player __ off the field for rough play. After evidence had been given by the referee and the player it was resolved to write to the player askine him to be more careful in his play in future.

A letter was read from the City Engineer notifying the association that its request ta I play matches on the reserve, Cargill road, I had been granted during the pleasure of the j council. I A report was received from Mr Martin, referee, notifying that it was not necessary for the Kaitangata team to play at 2 p.m. as formerly, as the train south was much ialer now. It was resolved that in future the Kaitangata team play at 3 p.m. Letters were received from the Normal School and College Clubs, and from Mr Soundy, and were referred to the School Committee.
