The annual meeting of the Wairarapa Coursing Club opened to-day in fine weather. Mr J. Mitchell, of Oamaru, acted as judge. Clements is favourite at 2 to 1. The committee has decided to run the JMaiden Stake on Tuesday, May 30, so as to fellow of more hares being obtained. May 18.
