CLEARING SALE.
Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co. report iaving held a successful clearing sale at Messrs J. and A. Duthie and Co.'s yards, at Milton (kindly lent for the occasion), on acount of Mr D. R. Howden (Coomb Hay). It being generally known that Mr Howden had disposed of his property, a large gathering of neighbouring fanners was present. Stock from Coomb Hay have a good reputation for sound constitutions, and, being great doers, every lot 31s offered was disposed of at full market >alue.
